Internal expression of interest
Newberry House is inviting expressions of interest from current Toddler Guides at Newberry House Lourensford for the Toddler Guide position at our Spier campus.
This is an internal opportunity for Guides who feel drawn to help establish the Toddler environment at Spier and who are committed to Newberry’s values, ethos, and approach to authentic Montessori practice aligned with AMI standards.
Position
Toddler Guide, Newberry House Spier Campus
Age group: 18 months to 3 years
Hours: 07:30 to 15:30, with the possibility of extended hours depending on aftercare needs
Required Criteria
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- AMI Toddler Diploma- Experience working as a Toddler Guide
- Clear alignment with Newberry’s values of authenticity, grace and courtesy, and lifelong learning
- Commitment to helping establish a prepared, calm, purposeful, and developmentally appropriate Toddler environment at the Spier campus.
Cover Letter
Interested internal candidates are invited to submit a short cover letter addressing the following:
- What is drawing you to apply for the Toddler Guide position at Newberry Spier?
- What is your vision for Toddlers at the Newberry Spier campus?
- How will your experience at Newberry Lourensford enable you to help establish and lead this environment well?

Selection Process
All internal applications will be reviewed against the criteria listed above. Newberry House reserves the right not to make an appointment if a suitable internal appointment is not identified.
