Newberry House brings our authentic Montessori practice to Spier Wine Estate near Stellenbosch, offering children a thoughtfully prepared environment where education, nature and real-life experience come together.
The campus will grow in phases towards the full Newberry offering, from 18 months to 18 years.
A natural home for our approach
Spier gives children more than a school site. Like our Lourensford campus, it is a working estate where nature, purposeful work and real-life experience are part of everyday learning. Spier farms regeneratively and organically, with ongoing fynbos restoration, river rehabilitation and soil regeneration across the estate. This gives children a living context for earth stewardship, purposeful work and real-life learning.

Newberry House at Spier is now open, and will continue to grow in phases towards the full 18-month to 18-year Newberry offering already established at Lourensford.

Toddler and Pre-Primary at Spier
Our Toddler and Pre-Primary communities are now open.
These early years are a time of extraordinary development. Children learn in calm, carefully prepared Montessori environments designed to support movement, independence, concentration, language, social development and a growing relationship with the world around them.
At Spier, those environments extend naturally beyond the classroom into the life and landscape of the estate.
