Newberry House at Spier opens in 2026, bringing our authentic Montessori practice, Cambridge pathway and real-life learning to the Spier Estate near Stellenbosch. The campus will begin with our Toddler and Pre-Primary communities, growing year by year towards the full Newberry offering.
A natural home for our approach
Spier gives children more than a school site. Like our Lourensford campus, it is a working estate where nature, purposeful work and real-life experience are part of everyday learning. Spier farms regeneratively and organically, with ongoing fynbos restoration, river rehabilitation and soil regeneration across the estate. This gives children a living context for earth stewardship, purposeful work and real-life learning.
Opening in phases
Opening in 2026, Newberry House at Spier will launch with our Toddler (18 months to 3 years) and Pre-Primary (3 to 6 years) communities.
Over time, the campus will grow to include Elementary, Middle School and a Cambridge International high school pathway, building towards the full 18-month to 18-year Newberry offering already established at Lourensford.
Starting with the early years
Our first phase focuses on the years when environment, rhythm and independence matter most. Our Toddler and Pre-Primary communities offer young children calm, carefully prepared spaces in which to move, explore, concentrate and grow.
